Sponsor A Jamaican Smile

Information for Volunteers on how to help raise money for the project while also raising money to offset your project fees and airfare.

    Each volunteer on the 1000 Smiles Project is encouraged to participate in the     Sponsor a Smile campaign. Here is how it works:

  • You ask your family, friends, clients, collegues, etc. to "Sponsor A Smile" for $50 (or more!), a fully tax deductible donation.
  • Each $50 sponsorship gives the gift of dental care or education to 5 Jamaican children, most of whom have never seen a dentist!
  • Each $50 sponsorship also gives the donor a 1 in 500 chance to win a vacation at an all-inclusive resort in Jamaica. See details below *.
  • 40% of what you the volunteer raises will be refunded to you to offset your volunteer fees and airfare. Your donors are helping the children of Jamaica and also supporting you the volunteer/care-giver. It is a win-win deal!
  • We encourage each of you be one of the "100 Friends Of A 1000 Smiles". Click here for details. It just takes 20 Sponsor A Smiles to be a "Friend".
  • We will mail you a photo report, donor slips and more for you to show your potential donors so they can get a visual idea of what their donation is going to do to make the world a better place.

* Vacation Details

  1. A minimum of 5 nights at an all-inclusive luxury resort in Jamaica for 2 persons. Hotel, food, drink, water sports are all free.
  2. Resort is Sandals, Beaches or some comparable resort.
  3. Does not include airfare or transport in USA. There may be some blackout dates.
  4. Maximum of 500 tickets sold, but last year 250 tickets were sold.

 

Dinner for two at a mid-priced restaurant: $50
A parking ticket in San Fran: $50
A pair of new shoes (on sale): $50
